The role holder(s) will be based in Kenya with frequent travel into West Africa and likely relocation into the region

The successful applicant(s) will have a total of at least 6-8 years’ experience in project management/business development/digital financial services/any specific sector preferably in multiple countries with a minimum of two years consulting experience and at least four years of work experience.

Key Functions will include:
  • Provide team leadership on planning & implementation of assignments within projects
  • Proposal development for business generation in collaboration with respective teams globally
  • Provide suitable solutions to complex business problems when consulting on assignments
  • Participate in goal setting where responsible and ensure high quality outputs within assigned timelines
  • Interact with and offer value in senior management forums in and outside of MicroSave
  • Work alongside team mates on efficient assignment execution and give necessary feedback
  • Ensure quality control on training courses delivered, research papers done, curriculum developed and technical assistance provided to clients
  • Participate in the development of key publications out of different assignment findings for purposes of thought leadership, showcasing and generating business/relevant information on various thematic problems/findings
Location:The role holder(s) will be based in Kenya on an interim basis with frequent travel into West Africa and likely relocation into the region

Qualities & Skills: The ideal incumbent(s) will have be proficient in project management tools and methodologies, financial acumen and understanding of profitability drivers of financial institutions.
 
Other relevant skills include:
·         Fluent in French and English languages
·         Strong problem solving and analytical skills
·         Great  team and interpersonal skills
·         Able to work in a multi-cultural environment with virtual teams
·         Highly self-motivated and result drive
·         Ability to work in a high pressure environment and handle numerous projects    concurrently
·         Self-disciplined with a keen eye for detail
·         Good presentation and narration skills
 
Education: Degree in Commerce/Economics/ Social development or any other related field. Master’s in Business Administration is an added advantage
 
Compensation: Competitive compensation will be negotiated commensurate with experience and skills.
