We are looking for a DFS expert who has experience of dealing with corporate, government departments, and administration machinery with Exposure to mobile banking, branch less banking, agent channels, and G2P payments. The expert is expected to explore new business opportunities, and develop and nurture new client relations.

For over 10 years, MicroSave has provided banks, agent network managers (ANMs), mobile network operators (MNOs), technology service providers (TSPs), microfinance institutions (MFIs), and other non-bank FIs, with research-based strategies that expand their capacities in electronic and mobile-based financial inclusion. We are recognised for our work in product and channel innovation, and implementation support across several developing countries and remote locations in East Africa, South Asia, and South East and Pacific Asia.We are seeking DFS experts to support delivery of technical assistance for digital financial services to financial service providers and other stakeholders in Indonesia.

Key Responsibilities Include:-

  • Leading a Team - Providing technical assistance to banks, financial institutions, technology service providers, regulators and other stakeholders for the Financial Inclusion (FI) initiatives in the country.

  • Managing, Monitoring and Supervising extensive surveys on agent/Government to People (G2P) payment / Mobile Financial Services across the assigned project areas, using qualitative/quantitative surveys / PRA techniques for the consumers, service providers and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Developing a training curriculum and providing training to various government, financial institutions and MNO staff on relevant Digital Financial Services topics.

  • Driving the programme agenda in the assigned select areas and supporting the assignment lead/practice group lead and other team members of MicroSave.

  • Writing reports and preparing the presentation for various work being carried out in the field as described above as per MicroSave guidelines.

Qualifications and Competencies
Academic/ professional qualifications:

  • Masters level degree (or higher) in Banking/Business Administration/Economics/Social Sciences or related field

Experience Required:

  • 9 to 15 years of relevant work experience

  • Experience of dealing with corporates, government departments, and administrative machinery.

  • Exposure to one or more of the following is mandatory: mobile banking, branchless banking, agent channels, and G2P payments.

Skills and competencies:

  • Ability to interface with and manage stakeholders at the senior level in the government agencies/banks/MNOs.

  • Excellent communication (oral and written) skills. Candidate should exhibit independence in conducting analysis and writing reports.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent report writing and presentation drafting skills.

  • Excellent ability to analyse and synthesize data/information and present it using appropriate frameworks.

  • Passionate and self-driven with an ability to work independently.

  • Preferably, ability to manage large-scale project with numbers of staff involved

  • Ability to work under pressure to meet the deadline

  • Team player.
