Ritesh Rautela is a Manager at MicroSave’s G2P Practice Group under Digital Financial Services domain. He has eight years of experience in fields of consulting, banking, digital financial services, financial inclusion and financial literacy. The current focus of his work is in the area of Government to Person (G2P) programmes under the purview of financial inclusion. He specialises in financial inclusion operations, G2P programmes and payment systems, digital financial services, branchless banking, district readiness assessments for G2P, process mapping, financial literacy training, qualitative market research, and behavioural research. 
 
Some examples of his recent work include:
  • Raskin (Rice for the poor) pilot evaluation in Indonesia for the National Team for the Acceleration of Poverty Reduction (TNP2K), funded by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation: evaluation of strength and weakness of each service provider participating in the voucher and e-money pilot for Raskin programme and understanding the best practices for communication and grievance redress for future voucher and e-money G2P programme.   • Study on the cash holding patterns at the village level for Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Government of India, funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation: Determining the cash holding pattern of all strata of people at the village level and to determine the barriers that inhibit such people from accessing formal/digital financial services (2016)
  • Assessment of Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) for Prime Minister’s Office, Government of India, funded by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation: understanding and analysing effectiveness of PMMY, delivery process, and understand impact of PMMY on beneficiaries. (2016)
  • Assessment and process restructuring of G2P Schemes in Haryana, India, funded by Bill and Melinda Gates foundation: studying and analysing processes of G2P schemes and suggest process re-structuring through automation. (2016)
 
Prior to joining MicroSave, Ritesh was a Financial Inclusion Manager with Sahaj e-Village Limited and before that with Bank of Baroda. He has a Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management from Institute of Rural Management Anand, India. He is fluent in Hindi and English
