Sakshi Chadha is Manager in MicroSave’s Digital Financial Services – G2p Domain. She is a development sector consultant with over six years’ experience gained through projects with international organisations, NGOs and corporates in India, United Kingdom, Nepal and Kenya. Sakshi’s areas of interests include: strategic business planning, development finance, structuring and financial modelling, market research, statistical analyses, risk management, concept testing, product development, monitoring and evaluation, and policy analysis.
Some examples of her past work include:

  • Digitising Delivery of Earthquake Rehabilitation Payments in Nepal (EBT and DBT) for Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development, funded by United Nations Capital Development Fund: Developed efficient models for delivery of Electronic and Direct Benefit Transfers (EBT and DBT) to help create digital rails and designed the processes involved in digital benefits transfer to pre-identified earthquake rehabilitation beneficiaries in Nepal.   • Designed and Developed Financial Inclusion and Payment System Indicators for Nepal Rastra Bank, funded by United Nations Capital Development Fund: Developed financial inclusion and payment system indicators for NRB to track the status of financial activities in Nepal using global benchmarking alongside understanding Nepal’s current regulatory framework.   • Policy Assessment of Prevalent Dormancy Associated with PMJDY Accounts in India, funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation: Conducted research to study pan-India output, outcome and implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana. (2015)
  • Coordinated and Developed content for ISB’s Capacity Building Workshop on Social Impact Assessment for Diffusion organised by Indian School of Business (ISB):  Addressed the needs of developmental organisations and NGOs by developing and conducting a module on “Impact Measurement” with emphasis on aspects such as Social Return on Investment (SROI). Before joining MicroSave, Sakshi has worked for more than four years as a Consultant with KPMG Management Consulting Practice; as an Associate with Nomura Securities; and an Investment Analyst with Lehman Brothers Securitised Products team. She has worked on diverse projects that included assessing financial inclusion infrastructure, developing growth strategy, risk management, securitised product modelling and conceptualising scalable business models. Over the last few years, she has been working on digital financial services through a variety of channels such as mobile network operators, banks, merchant establishments, agent network managers, and other stakeholders to enhance sustainable adoption of financial inclusion. Sakshi has accomplished her Financial Risk Manager certification, GARP and is also a Six Sigma Green belt. She completed her Post-Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM) with specialisation in Strategy & Finance from Indian School of Business, Hyderabad and Bachelor’s in Applied Physical Science from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University.
