Job Summary

Analysts will support the delivery of assignments typically focussed on the technical support to clients across various Domains and Practice Groups along with providing support and guidance to more junior staff on assignments. The primary focus of this role is to contribute to the delivery of outstanding quality of work on assignments, within the approaches and frameworks set out by MSC. Analysts will continue to build their knowledge and expertise in core areas of MSC’s client delivery work.

Experience in domains such as consulting or research or other relevant areas and delivery of technical assistance programs.

Description

Detailed Responsibilities:

Business Execution:-

Participate in assignment planning, field work set-up and client presentations for assignments

Lead basic assignments under supervision by senior team members

Execute assignments with attention to detail and focus on quality

Analysis of data and information and report writing

Contribute towards training courses delivered, research papers prepared, curriculum developed and technical assistance provided to clients

Contribute to the development of MSC’s toolkits and other publications

Business Development:-

Support the development and submission of proposals to generate business

Author /Co-author thematic publications to be developed from field experiences (Focus notes/Briefing notes)

Actively engage in marketing activities and participate in digital media dialogues (blogs, discussion forums etc.)

Professional Development

Conduct “Quality of Delivery”/ feedback assessments with team members after assignment execution in line with the quality control guidelines

Assist and support development of other staff by providing guidance and advice where appropriate

Take ownership of self-development by acquiring skills and knowledge which add value to the organization

Upgrade skills on a regular basis by enrolling to training courses (online)

Qualifications and Competencies:

Academic/ professional qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters level degree (or higher) in Business/Economics/Sociology or related fields from a reputed institute

Experience

  • 1-3 years’ experience in domains such as consulting or research or other relevant areas
  • Experience in the delivery of technical assistance programs

Skills and competencies:

  • Previous experience in consulting or research will be an advantage
  • Strong analytical abilities, both quantitative and qualitative, and problem solving skills
  • Excellent report structuring and story boarding skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information in an insightful and structured manner, both written and oral
  • Ability to lead basic assignments under the supervision by senior team members
  • Strong attention to detail with good field orientation and proven inter personal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power point
