Bariti M. Thomas


Bariti M. Thomas is a Manager in MSC’s Banking and Financial services domain in Africa. He is an experienced banker with nine years of experience in both credit and banking (deposit) operations.

At MSC, Bariti has been instrumental in market research, credit and savings product design, business process re-engineering, risk management, SME lending among others. Some of the countries he has work experience in include Kenya, Zambia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Malawi.

Before joining MSC, Bariti was in the middle-level management of Faulu Microfinance Bank Ltd. In his capacity as a branch manager, he played a key role in business development through marketing, customer service, relationship management, and in the development of strategies and best practices for credit and operation departments. Prior to joining Faulu microfinance, he worked as a Relationship Manager-Credit at Equity Bank for eight years where he gained vast experience in financial analysis of credit proposals, quality management of the loan book, staff training, marketing of the bank products, and overall supervision of the branch credit department. Bariti has a Bachelor’s degree in Education majoring in Mathematics and Accounting from the University of Nairobi and is finalizing his Master’s degree in Science Entrepreneurship. Bariti is proficient in English and Swahili.
