Senior Manager
Dr. Edward Bikketi is a Senior Manager and Practice Group Leader at MSC Anglophone Africa, specializing in research-for-development for agricultural development, climate change adaptation, and natural resource management in Sub-Saharan Africa.
With 17+ years of experience, he excels in designing and evaluating gender and social research programs, integrating gender equality and social inclusion. Edward has collaborated with diverse teams, including the Kenyan National Agricultural System (NARS) and CGIAR, to drive impactful interventions.
Dr. Bikketi’s expertise lies in mixed methods research, utilizing qualitative and quantitative approaches. He has successfully implemented projects such as developing the Youth Strategy in multiple countries, scaling up digital microinsurance for women farmers, and using satellite and cellphone imagery for climate-smart crop insurance. Before joining MSC, Dr. Bikketi contributed to micro-banking operations, policy development, and technical assistance design. He holds a Ph.D. in Social Anthropology and a Post-doctorate in Gender and Agricultural Development and is fluent in English and Swahili.
