Disha Bhavnani leads large, multi-country engagements in MSC’s Inclusive Financial Ecosystems practice. She has more than 11 years of experience across digital financial services and inclusive market systems. At MSC, Disha brings extensive expertise in digital payments, merchant ecosystem development, inclusive market systems, and ecosystem transformation. She has a strong track record of translating strategy into implementation and advancing digital and financial inclusion across Asia, the South Pacific, and Africa.

Through her work, Disha plays a vital role in advancing market-led solutions that drive the adoption and sustained usage of digital financial services. She works closely with governments, regulators, financial institutions, and global development partners to strengthen digital financial ecosystems and improve access for underserved communities. Disha has led high-impact programs focused on merchant-led growth, stronger last-mile delivery channels, and greater access to inclusive financial services through collaboration with public and private sector stakeholders. She has also contributed to  
MSC’s thought leadership in digital payments and ecosystem development. Disha played an instrumental role in the concept and launch of PIN Rails, MSC’s proprietary analytics platform. This platform provides actionable intelligence on payment instruments and ecosystem performance to support evidence-based decision-making for policymakers and industry leaders in India. 

Her earlier experience includes ESAF Microfinance (now ESAF Small Finance Bank), where she contributed to the scale-up of inclusive financial services. Over the years, Disha has worked with leading global institutions, which include FMO, the Gates Foundation, CGAP, Alliance for Financial Inclusion, NITI Aayog, JPMorgan Chase, and Pacific Financial Inclusion Programme on the design and delivery of transformative, impact-driven initiatives.
