Hafsa Nooree

Deputy General Manager

Hafsa leads MSC’s Strategic Initiatives and Business Development department. She has more than 17 years of experience across financial services and development sectors. At MSC, Hafsa brings extensive expertise in business development, strategic engagement, partnership management, and proposal development. Hafsa plays a key role to advance MSC’s strategic growth. She helps the organization identify emerging opportunities and strengthen partnerships across diverse sectors. Hafsa works closely with cross-functional teams to understand the donor landscape, uncover insights into evolving funding priorities and market trends, better understand market dynamics, and ensure alignment between proposals and donor expectations. Her work supports MSC’s positioning across various thematic areas.

Her earlier experience spans both development and corporate banking. At the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Mumbai Branch, Hafsa was responsible for expanding the bank’s corporate portfolio, including onboarding prominent clients, such as TATA and Shriram. Before that, she led marketing, communication, and content initiatives for rural and inclusive finance divisions at ICICI Bank and Kotak Bank, where she helped enhance outreach and engagement with underserved communities.

Hafsa began her career at the Indian School of Microfinance for Women (ISMW), where she focused on fundraising and institutional capacity building. Her work involved the identification of technical assistance needs and support for microfinance institutions that serve low-income populations, particularly women.

She holds a postgraduate diploma in rural management from the Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA), India, and is a gold medalist in political science from Osmania University, Hyderabad.
