On 29th January 2026, MSC convened a multi-stakeholder workshop in the Philippines under the Learning Across Borders (LaB) initiative, in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). This workshop explored how digital public infrastructure (DPI) can strengthen government-to-person (G2P) delivery systems and enhance social protection outcomes.
The workshop brought together senior government stakeholders and development partners to examine the role of DPI, which enables efficient, transparent, and inclusive service delivery. Participants explored global and regional experiences, such as lessons from Indonesia’s social protection systems and other international best practices.
Discussions emphasized the importance of interoperability across social registries, payment platforms, and government programs. They also highlighted the role of integrated digital systems to improve targeting, delivery, and accountability. The workshop highlighted practical pathways to strengthen G2P ecosystems through coordinated policy and technology interventions.
Stakeholders gained actionable insights to support the design and implementation of inclusive and interoperable G2P systems in the Philippines through this initiative. The workshop strengthened collaboration and reinforced the role of DPI to advance social protection delivery that is efficient and citizen-centric.
