Job Description
Shape the future of food, health, and nutrition in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. In this role, you will drive MSC’s Health & Nutrition business development and flagship engagements, work with governments, donors, and private sector partners, and influence policy and programme design at scale. You will translate complex health, nutrition, and food systems challenges into practical, scalable solutions and represent MSC across the region as a trusted advisor.
MSC’s Global Health & Nutrition Practice works to strengthen nutrition outcomes across food, health, and livelihoods systems. We invite candidates interested in contributing to nutrition-centred policy, programmes, and partnerships that support lasting change across emerging markets.
Business development -Lead and support business development through pipeline generation, proposal development, and strategic partnerships with governments, donors, and multilateral organisations.
Project management and delivery - Lead end-to-end delivery of health, nutrition, and food systems consulting and technical assistance assignments, ensuring technical quality, timely execution, and measurable impact.
Thought leadership and knowledge generation- Develop and disseminate policy-relevant research, frameworks, and knowledge products, and represent MSC in regional forums to strengthen visibility and influence.
Internal leadership and operational contribution -Contribute to internal systems, quality standards,and cross-capability collaboration to strengthen operational effectiveness and delivery excellence.
Professional Experience & Sector Knowledge:
Strong experience engaging with government counterparts in Indonesia, including national and sub-national institutions across health, social protection, and food systems.
Familiarity with key development partners active in the region, including DFAT, UN agencies (UNICEF, WHO, WFP, UNDP), World Bank, Asian Development Bank, Gates Foundation, and Rockefeller Foundation.
Demonstrated track record in business development, including originating opportunities, building pipelines, and supporting successful donor-, government-, or privately funded engagements.
Experience in two to three of the following areas:
Health and nutrition programme design and delivery
Programme management and systems strengthening
Advisory or consulting on health system governance, financing
Healthcare and life sciences consulting including medical technology companies, food and nutrition industries
Public–private partnership (PPP) models for health, nutrition, and service delivery.
Experience producing high-quality analytical outputs, policy notes, reports, or other knowledge products in health and nutrition.
Established professional networks across Southeast Asian governments, donors, multilaterals, think tanks, and implementing partners, with the ability to leverage these for business growth.
Willingness and ability to travel across Indonesia and the Southeast Asia region to support business development and project delivery.
Requirements
Educational Qualification
Post-graduate or master’s degree in public health, nutrition, food sciences or food technology, or an MA/MSc/MBA in global health, development studies, public policy, social policy, or other related disciplines, with a strong focus on applied nutrition, nutrition policy, or health systems.
