Job Description

Shape policy. Strengthen systems. Improve millions of lives.
We’re looking for a Manager who wants their work to matter far beyond presentations and reports.
This is a role for someone who sits comfortably at the intersection of policy, analytics, and public impact, someone who can move from evidence to insight, and from insight to action. You’ll work on some of the most important questions in development and government transformation: social protection, G2P systems, subsidies, inclusive development, digital governance, and public service delivery.
In this role, you won’t just study programs from a distance. You’ll help shape how governments and institutions think about welfare, inclusion, and delivery at scale. One day you may be synthesising evidence on social protection reform; the next, designing analytical approaches for a government program, developing strategic recommendations for a development partner, or crafting a compelling proposal for a new opportunity.
We’re looking for someone with 7–8 years of experience who brings both rigour and judgment, someone who can work with data, engage with stakeholders, write with clarity, and contribute to building ideas that influence real decisions.
You’ll thrive here if you:
• care deeply about public systems and inclusive growth
• enjoy turning research and analysis into practical recommendations
• can navigate both technical detail and stakeholder complexity
• want to contribute to work that is intellectually strong and socially meaningful
This is an opportunity to join a team working closely with government departments, development partners, and policy leaders to strengthen programs that affect lives at scale.
If you’re excited by the idea of combining economics, evidence, policy, and execution to drive public impact, this role is built for you.

Responsibilities
  • Support and execute high-quality projects in the areas of social protection, digital governance, government subsidies, G2P programs, public policy, government programs, and inclusive development.
  • Conduct policy research, sectoral analysis, and evidence synthesis to inform strategic recommendations and client deliverables.
  •  Undertake quantitative and qualitative analysis, including the use of economics and econometrics-based approaches where relevant.
  •  Develop high-quality written outputs such as reports, policy notes, presentations, concept notes, briefing papers, and knowledge products.
  • Work closely with government stakeholders, development partners, and internal teams in the execution of assignments.
  •  Support business development activities through opportunity identification, proposal drafting, concept note development, and sector scanning.
  • Contribute to knowledge building, published writing, and internal thought leadership in relevant thematic areas.

Requirements

Academic/ professional qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Economics or Public Policy strongly preferred.
  • Candidates with a Master’s in related disciplines such as Development Studies, Social Policy, or similar fields may also be considered if strongly relevant to the role.

  Experience

  • 7-8 years of relevant professional experience in a consulting firm, think tank, multilateral/donor agency, international organisation, government advisory institution, or policy research organisation.
  •  Demonstrated experience in one or more relevant sectors, including social protection, government programs, public policy, welfare systems, poverty and inclusion, labour and livelihoods, or related development themes.
  • Experience working with or advising government departments, multilateral institutions, donor agencies, or public-sector stakeholders is strongly preferred.
  •  Prior experience in top-tier consulting firms, reputed think tanks, international organisations, or high-quality research and advisory institutions will be an advantage.
  •  Strong track record in conducting policy analysis, structured research, evidence synthesis, and high-quality writing.
  •  Experience in proposal development, concept note drafting, and business development support is desirable.
  • Exposure to the education sector will be an added advantage.
  • Experience contributing to published articles, policy papers, reports, or knowledge documents is highly desirable.
