Puneet Chopra

Partner

Puneet is a Partner at MSC. He leads the Agri-Business Consulting, Climate Change and Sustainability practice groups, and digital transformation sector globally, focusing on Asia and the Pacific. He is an expert in policy and regulations; digital innovations and transformation; strategy, business planning, processes, and operations; consumer research and human-centric design; product development and marketing; distribution channels; IEC, training, and capacity building; project and program management; and monitoring, learning, and evaluation (MLE).

With a career spanning more than three decades, he has extensive experience and expertise in agriculture, livelihoods, banking, digital financial services (DFS), insurance, telecommunications, information technology (IT), climate change, value-chains, and logistics. He has been advising governments, regulators, policymakers; donors and funders; agri-techs, FinTechs, and other startups; banks, NBFCs, MNOs, telecom companies, and device manufacturers; community institutions, industry bodies, and other stakeholders. A recognized expert, he has worked in more than 20 countries across Africa, Asia, the Pacific, Europe, and North America.

Puneet plays a leading role in developing thought leadership, conducting learning events, webinars, and workshops, and is a crucial contributor to developing and enhancing knowledge assets, toolkits, and methodologies. He regularly writes guest columns for business newspapers and magazines like Reuters, The Economic Times, Business Standard, Mint, The Hindu Business Line, and Voice&Data magazine. He is a frequent speaker at national and international events and conferences.

Before joining MSC, Puneet worked for Accenture Consulting as the Industry Leader for the Telecommunication, Media, and Technology group. He was responsible for setting up this business vertical in South Asia and growing the consulting practice to a USD 10 million+ a year business. He has also worked with IBM Business Consulting, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), and the Tata Group. He holds a Master of Management and is a gold medallist from the School of Management, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay, India.
