Samveet Sahoo is an Associate Partner and the Financial Services Lead for MSC Africa. He has more than 15 years of experience across inclusive digital finance and payment ecosystem transformation. At MSC, Samveet brings extensive expertise in digital public infrastructure (DPI), instant payment systems (IPS), interoperability, agent and merchant ecosystems, and financial inclusion strategy. He has a strong track record of translating strategy into implementation and advancing digital and financial inclusion across Africa and Asia.
Through his work, Samveet plays a vital role in building scalable, resilient, and inclusive payment ecosystems that strengthen digital adoption and expand access for underserved populations. He works closely with governments, regulators, central banks, payment system operators, financial institutions, telecom operators, FinTechs, and global development partners to transform digital financial ecosystems and improve access for underserved communities. Samveet has led high-impact programs focused on interoperable payment systems, agent network sustainability, merchant payments, and digital commerce enablement through collaboration with public and private sector stakeholders across Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Nigeria, Bangladesh, and India. He has also contributed to MSC’s thought leadership in digital payments and ecosystem development through publications, market studies, and policy-oriented research.
His work combines strategic advisory, implementation support, operational diagnostics, and evidence-based market research to support sustainable ecosystem growth and financial inclusion outcomes. Over the years, Samveet has worked with leading global institutions, including the FCDO, the MetLife Foundation, the Gates Foundation, and other international development partners on the design and delivery of transformative, impact-driven initiatives.
Samveet holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Management from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering. He is fluent in English, Hindi, Bengali, Oriya, and Gujarati.
