Aminur Rahman is a Consultant in MSC’s Digital Financial Services domain in Bangladesh. He has more than two years of research experience in the development and research sector. He is a research and consultancy professional with strong skills in qualitative and quantitative data management, preparing research M&E and budget plans, developing a technical proposal, designing monitoring tools and data collection procedures, survey planning, and designing samples.A few examples of his recent work are as follows:

  • Scoping study to support the Bangladesh Bank to transition to a Smart Bangladesh 2041. This will help to understand the current situation of digital financial services and how they can be digitized the transaction within 2031.
  • Pre-Baseline Activity and Baseline Study of Bangladesh Program to End Modern Slavery (B-PEMS), AgroJatra Climate Change Project. This project is implemented by Winrock International and funded by USDOS. The project is implemented in 11 districts all across the country and the primary goal is to reduce the prevalence of human trafficking in Bangladeshi farming and fishing households vulnerable to climate change.
  • Evaluating the PhilCAFE project that is implemented by ACDI/VOCA, a $17 million USDA Philippine Coffee Advancement and Farm Enterprise (PhilCAFE) project from September 2018 through December 2023. PhilCAFE strengthened the Philippine coffee industry by building the capacity of key coffee value chain actors, increasing the value of Philippine coffee sales and the income of specialty coffee farmers, and empowering legacy institutions to support the sustained development of the coffee sector.
  • Baseline evaluation RAIN project in Thailand, a USDA-funded project that is implemented by Winrock International in six provinces to increase productivity, profitability, and trade opportunities in the Thai agriculture sector while simultaneously reducing greenhouse gas emissions and natural resource depletion.
  • Evaluating (CEMB) project which is a five-year project from 2018 to 2023, funded at CAD 14.87 million, being implemented by Plan International Bangladesh and Plan International Canada in partnership with Global Affairs Canada.
Before joining MSC, Aminur was a Senior Program Officer at Capacity Building Service Group where he undertook various responsibilities from project acquisition to implementation, maintaining liaison with clients, managing the projects, and providing technical assistance support. He holds a bachelor's degree in Public Administration and a master’s in International Relations. He is fluent in English and Bangla.
