Karminder Malhotra

Assistant Manager

Karminder Malhotra is an Assistant Manager in MSC’s Government Advisory Domain, based in New Delhi. She is a researcher with five years of experience and has worked with development banks, international funding agencies, government departments, ministries, MFIs, and community-based institutions in India and Nigeria. Her expertise spans policy research, project management, program design and evaluation, monitoring and evaluation, quantitative and qualitative research, and impact assessment. As part of her recent work, she has helped strengthen climate resilience through financial services with CGAP and the World Bank (2024), developed the Intelligent Revenue Assessment Index Tool for the Nigeria Governors’ Forum’s Public Finance Programme (2024), and contributed to the World Bank’s Climate Smart Agriculture project and Country Climate and Development Reports (2022–2023). She also led impact assessments and policy recommendations for pond rejuvenation under The Nature Conservancy (2022–2023), contributed to India’s National Circular Economy Roadmap to reduce plastic waste in collaboration with the Australian government (2022–2023), and conducted a policy landscape analysis of finished product waste for Nike (2022–2023). Before she joined MSC, she worked as an Associate Researcher at Development Alternatives Group, where she contributed to similar environmental and policy research projects. Karminder holds a bachelor’s degree in History (Hons.) from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi, and a master’s in Development Studies from Ambedkar University, Delhi. She is fluent in English, Hindi, and Punjabi.
