Pancho Otero

Pancho Otero was the founding leader of the Prodem Foundation and BancoSol, Bolivia.

Pancho was hired by Accion in 1986 to start a microenterprise lending organization in Bolivia. He founded the Prodem Foundation that provided sustainable financial services for micro, small, and medium entrepreneurs in the rural and urban areas of Bolivia. Pancho also became the President of BancoSol, the first private commercial bank in Latin America dedicated to the microenterprises of the poor that was launched by the Prodem Foundation.
