Job Description

Business Execution-
  • Participate in assignment planning, primary research, and client presentations
  • Lead shorter duration assignments under supervision by senior team members
  • Execute assignments with attention to detail and focus on quality
  • Data analysis and excellent business writing skills
  • Bring in structure and build concepts from limited information
  • Build camaraderie with the team and strive towards individual contribution as well as being a team player
  • Maintain seamless and transparent communication within the team
  • Curious to learn and grow in the organization
  • Achieve alignment with the organization’s work culture
  • Open to frequent travel within the country and internationally, occasionally
  • Contribute to the development of MSC’s toolkits and other publications

Business and Professional Development-
  • Support the development and submission of proposals and concept notes to generate business
  • Author /Co-author thematic publications to be developed from field experiences
  • Actively engage in marketing campaigns and participate in social media dialogues
  • Conduct “Quality of Delivery”/feedback assessments with team members after assignment execution in line with the quality control guidelines
  • Assist and support the development of other staff by providing guidance and advice where appropriate
  • Take ownership of self-development by acquiring skills, knowledge that add value to the organisation

Level of Effort:
  • 70% time in client-based assignments (on field)
  • 30% time in the MSC office

Requirements

Qualifications: 
A master’s degree in economics, public/business administration, social sciences, or a related 
field is desirable 

Essential Skills: 
Previous experience in consulting, research, or with BCNMs/banks in the financial inclusion 
sector will be an advantage 
Passionate about digital financial services and their application to achieve large-scale 
impact 
Ability to think and act strategically 
Understanding of financial services, BC networks, and their operations is desirable 
Strong analytical abilities, both quantitative and qualitative, and problem-solving skills 
Excellent report structuring and storyboarding skills 
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information in an insightful and 
structured manner, both written and oral 
Ability to lead assignments under the supervision of senior team members  
Strong attention to detail with good field orientation and proven interpersonal skills  
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
