Job Description


Overview: As an Associate Manager, the team member will report to the Executive Manager/ Domain Lead and support the Strategic Initiatives/Business Development team. He/she will support proposal development process in co-ordination with technical teams, carry out donor, competitor and partner analysis; add value to the proposal review and writing process, initiate new areas of business or partnership development independently working with technical teams, and work with emerging area leaders to establish their thematic focus area as a vertical business line within MSC.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Scanning/ Scouting of new business opportunities & tenders across various clients/ donors’ websitesComprehending RFPs, Terms of Reference (ToRs), Expression of
  • Interest (EOIs) and coordination with technical teams for end-to-end EOI and Proposal development.
  • Understanding MSC's   past work/projects and where and how these projects are relevant to the RFPs/EOIs
  • Proactive scouting of donors, strategic partners, consultants, and documentation of the same; putting effort into nurturing and building said relationships.
  • Preparing compelling capability statements and pitch decks for business development.
    Maintaining and up-dating various databases owned by SI in MS-Word, MS-Excel, coordinating with Technical Teams for updating databases.
  • Supporting in the preparation of reports (MS-Excel, PPT or word), donor scoping, competitor analysis, quarterly proposal reporting, collaterals and other documents.
  • Coordinating and communicating (verbal/ written) with External Consultants/ associates for existing or prospective opportunities, as and when required.
  • Building MSCs brand presence in certain emerging areas which include directly liaising with emerging area group internal point of contact, organizing, and supporting during meetings.
  • Co-ordinating with internal teams-Administration, Knowledge Management, Finance/Legal as per work requirements.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned




Requirements

The candidate must have:

  • Master’s degree in English, Business Management or equivalent fields.
  • Minimum four years of experience in communication/content development/stakeholder management.
  • Business development / CRM / sales management in finance, banking, consulting or development sectors is an added advantage.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word and PowerPoint. Dexterity and strong capabilities using Microsoft Excel and other MS-Office supported databases.

Skills and competencies:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and language (English) skills
  • Proficiency in MS-Word, MS-PowerPoint and Advanced in MS-Excel
  • Experience in donor and partner scoping and landscape assessment
  • Identifying and profiling current and potential donors in the preferred geography
  • Summarise findings and share it with the larger MSC team.
  • Willingness to work in a demanding and results-oriented team environment where priorities can change frequently.
  • Ability to work in a deadline-bound environment and beyond regular working hours, as and when required
  • Ability to update data fields, synthesise data, and conduct rigorous data analytics
  • Good team player, ability to work with a global team and self-starter willing to take initiative
  • Ability to effectively present to internal teams to deliver training or to external teams to provide a company overview and capabilities
  • Ability to communicate information effectively and ideas in written and spoken formats. Solid knowledge of the English language and the capacity to write concise and articulate business emails with little to no supervision
