About The Role
The Assistant Manager – CRT will support the design, implementation, and management of projects focused on responsible digital technologies and Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) across Africa. This role combines technical advisory, project management, and business development, providing the opportunity to work with governments, donors, and private sector partners to advance inclusive, sustainable, and responsible digital ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the Africa region.
Lead or contribute to proposal development and concept notes for governments, donor agencies, and multilateral institutions.
Represent MSC in industry events, conferences, and policy dialogs to strengthen regional presence.
Support learning exchanges and exposure visits for government and development partners.
Contribute to MSC’s thought leadership through blogs, articles, and opinion pieces.
Project Execution & Client Engagement
Lead or support the implementation of DPI and digital solutions in Anglophone African countries.
Provide technical advisory and project management support to governments, private sector, and development partners.
Develop tools and frameworks to assess digital maturity and recommend best practices, standards, and policies.
Produce high-quality deliverables, including:Project Plans and Feasibility Studies,Functional Requirement Specifications,As-is & To-be Analyses,Detailed Project Reports, Research Papers, and Blogs
Maintain close engagement with senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project goals and responsiveness to feedback.
Collaborate with MSC teams globally to drive innovation, knowledge sharing, and excellence in project delivery.
Digital Transformation & Technical Expertise
Demonstrate hands-on experience with the core components of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI): Digital Identity, Data Exchange, Digital Payments, and Consent Management.
Support digital transformation initiatives, including DPI and Digital ID projects.
Assist with technical proposal writing for government and donor-funded initiatives.
Effectively engage government stakeholders to ensure adoption and impact of digital solutions.
Requirements
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree, or preferably Master’s degree, in Computer Science, Economics, Development Studies, or related fields.
4–5 years of professional experience in digital technology projects, responsible tech, or development programs.
Proven experience in project management, technical advisory, and client engagement.
Hands-on experience with Digital Public Infrastructure (Digital ID, Data Exchange, Digital Payments, Consent Management) is highly desirable.
Strong report writing, presentation, and analytical skills.
Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
