MSC is hiring a BFSI Senior Manager based at a client location in Mumbai. If
you bring strong experience from banks or NBFCs and are ready to work on
high-impact MSME lending projects, we’d love to talk to you!
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development
● Assist in identification,
communication and negotiation of business opportunities
● Build relationships with existing and potential clients in banking, postal
network, Microfinance institutions, government bodies (such as RBI, DFS, IBA,
SIDBI etc)
● Take initiatives to develop and enhance communication with clients to
strengthen client relationship
● Develop and submit proposals to generate business – particularly for the BFSI
capability and postal networks
● Represent MSC at conferences, workshops, events etc.
● Author /Co-author of thematic publications capturing innovative ideas /new
trends, future of the sector etc.
Human Capital Development
● Conduct “Quality of Delivery” or feedback assessments with team members after
assignment execution, in line with the quality control guidelines. Conduct
thorough reviews of the deliverables before submitting them to the client to
ensure high-quality work.
● Assist and support the development of other staff by providing guidance and
advice where appropriate.
● Share knowledge with staff and create opportunities for mentoring.
● Deep knowledge of the banking and financial inclusion sector, specifically in
India, encompassing credit, savings, and regulatory guidelines for various
types of banks, as well as the needs of rural segments. Understanding of the
social sector and its operational framework.
● A good understanding of the banking ecosystem in the Southeast Asia or
African region is beneficial.
Business Execution
● Lead the planning and implementation of assignments involving project teams
within the sector and capability
● Build the credit products from the beginning and handle its operational,
business, and legal documentations
● Lead assigned tasks as outlined in the program. Look for replicating the
success of projects with other clients across geographies. Work towards
planning new assignments with the client.
● Quality control training courses delivered, research papers prepared,
curriculum developed and technical assistance provided to clients
Requirements
Experience:
● Previous consulting experience from the Big-4 is an added advantage
● Experience of designing/executing financial inclusion for the poor programs,
such as MSME policy with government, developing cluster, digital lending
products, core banking experience.
Key Skills:
● Strong understanding
of lending products, processes and analyzing financial data
● Ability to lead assignments involving diverse project teams and to work with
minimal supervision
● Ability to develop client relationships and win business
● Proficient in excel, word and PowerPoint.
Educational
Qualifications:
● MBA or other relevant
professional qualifications in line with areas of specialisation
