Job Description

This role is part of MSC’s Global Health & Nutrition Practice, where you will collaborate with governments, donors, and multilateral to design and deliver impactful solutions in health, nutrition, and food security. As an Assistant Manager, the candidate will support policy analysis, program design, and implementation of large-scale public health nutrition programs. The selected candidate will also contribute to high-quality research, frameworks, and insights that shape decision-making, manage client engagements, and support business development.  This position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to strengthening public health nutrition systems at scale.

Professional Experience & Sector Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of global and regional nutrition, food systems and health sector trends, policies, and donor landscapes.
  • Experience in engaging with government agencies, international donors, and private-sector stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to support development of high-impact proposals, research reports, and client presentations.
  • Experience in one or more of the following functional areas:
  • Strategy consulting for nutrition, agri-nutrition food systems, public health nutrition, particularly in low-resource or emerging market contexts.
  • Policy design and advisory for nutrition, or social protection programs at national or sub-national levels
  • Design and delivery of SBCC (Social and Behavior Change Communication) strategies for food, health or nutrition sectors.
  • Design or implementation of integrated nutrition–livelihood–climate resilience or nutrition-sensitive models, with a focus on women’s empowerment platforms.
  • Existing relationships with government, multilateral agencies, donors agencies, think tanks, and industry are a plus.


Requirements

Skills & Competencies:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Strong analytical, research (primary and secondary), and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and presentation abilities, and analytical skills.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills to work effectively across diverse teams.
  • Intellectual curiosity and passion for the social and development sector.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of other Indian languages are a plus.

Educational Qualification:

  • Post-graduate or master’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, food sciences, food technology or MA/MSC/MBA in public health, development studies, public policy, social policy, or other related fields with a focus on applied nutrition/nutrition policy.
