Job Description
As a Manager at MSC, you will design scalable solutions for smallholder farmers and agricultural markets and lead program implementation. Business
Execution
Provide technical and
project management support to clients to ensure high-quality delivery of
consulting assignments.
Work as part of project
teams on multi-country or country-specific engagements, handling defined
work-streams, including field visits, stakeholder interactions, and client
coordination.
Contribute to report
writing, data analysis, and development of knowledge products such as
briefs, publications, and case studies based on field and project insights.
Business
Development
Identify and pursue
consulting opportunities in agriculture, food systems, climate resilience,
and related sectors across South and Southeast Asia, Africa, and the
Pacific islands.
Map and track donor, philanthropic,
multilateral, bilateral, and government-funded programs, including funding
priorities, program cycles, and procurement pipelines.
Develop concept notes,
EOIs, techno-commercial proposals, and pitch decks in collaboration with
global MSC teams, ensuring contextual relevance and alignment with donor
and government priorities.
Support internal
proposal review processes to ensure responsiveness to donor expectations
and consistency with local and regional contexts.
Conduct analysis of
sector trends, donor priorities, and private-sector opportunities to
support project design and implementation.
Represent MSC at
regional conferences, forums, and roundtable to enhance visibility and
thought leadership in agriculture, food systems, and digital development.

Conduct “Quality of
Delivery”/feedback assessments with team members after assignment
execution in line with the quality control guidelines
Assist and support the development
of other staff by providing guidance and advice where appropriate

Requirements
Academic/ professional
qualifications:
Postgraduate degree in
agriculture, agri-business management, agricultural systems/engineering
from a recognized institution
Other relevant
professional qualifications
Strong knowledge of the
agriculture sector and the socio-economic development issues.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of relevant
experience, including development of proposals and concept notes for
donor- or investor-funded agricultural programs and support to
implementation.
Experience supporting
business development and client engagements, including opportunity tracking,
sector research, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience contributing
to the delivery of agriculture, food systems, or climate-related projects,
including analysis, reporting, and coordination with partners and field teams.
Skills
and competencies:
Proficient in proposal
and concept note development for donor- or investor-funded programs.
Excellent analytical
abilities, both quantitative and qualitative, and proven problem-solving
skills
Ability to support
program implementation through effective coordination, tracking, and
technical inputs
Excellent communication
skills with the ability to present information in an insightful and
structured manner, both written and oral
Experience in
developing budgets and financial inputs for proposals in line with donor
requirements
Passionate about agricultural
