Shobhit is a Senior Manager in MSC’s Inclusive Banking and Enterprise Development Domain in India. He is a finance professional with more than nine years of experience gained through projects with multinational and Indian commercial banks, non-banking financial companies, insurance companies, key private equity and venture capital investors, MFIs, and FMCGs in India, Bangladesh, and Tanzania. His areas of expertise include project management, due diligence, accounts and financial planning, microfinance, MSME finance, and analysis and development of financial products related to business banking. He specializes in due diligence of financial institutions, industry research and analysis, credit appraisal and risk assessment, business planning, and technical assistance design. Before joining MSC, Shobhit was a Senior Analyst at CRISIL Limited, where he undertook various roles, such as setting up new NBFCs, conducting the BFSI industry analysis, and writing a draft red herring prospectus for the initial public offer for companies operating in the BFSI industry. Before CRISIL and MSC, he also worked with YES BANK Limited, India, in their MSME vertical of the business banking department. He is an engineering graduate with a Postgraduate Diploma specialization in Financial Services from the K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management in Mumbai. He is fluent in Hindi and English.
