Shubha Bhanu is an Associate Partner in MSC’s Inclusive Banking and Enterprise Development domain. She is a Banker with more than 15 years of experience gained through projects with banks, international funding agencies, MFIs, and community-based institutions in India. Her expertise includes financial and credit risk assessment of wholesale borrowers with a specific focus on nonbanking finance companies, housing finance companies, and microfinance institutions.

Before Shubha joined MSC, she worked at HDFC Bank as a Team Lead for the bank’s risk team, where she conducted credit risk assessments of borrowers across corporate banking and emerging corporate group borrowers. She was also involved in various thematic research projects and stress-testing exercises to fine-tune the bank’s risk metrics. She holds a master’s degree with a specialization in Management Research from the University of Oxford. She is fluent in English and Hindi and has basic knowledge of German and Mandarin.
