Skilling and jobs

MSC’s skilling and jobs practice is committed to unlocking inclusive pathways to meaningful work—through employment or entrepreneurship—for youth, women, and underserved communities. We partner with governments, development agencies, and private sector actors to design inclusive skilling ecosystems, strengthen institutions, and shape future-ready policies and programs.

At MSC, we help individuals build skills, confidence, and resilience to participate meaningfully in the workforce. Through a structured three-pillar approach, we drive systems change and deliver high-impact solutions that are responsive to local contexts and global trends.

Pillars of our works

Unlocking demand and supply-side skilling pathways for inclusive workforce participation

  • We work to create demand- and supply-side skilling solutions that align with market needs and technological shifts. Our programs focus on youth, women, and informal workers, especially those in rural and low-income settings. We design blended, tech-enabled learning journeys and link skilling to entrepreneurship and jobs.
  • Our programs have enabled 250,000+ individuals across Asia and Africa to access future ready livelihoods.

Strengthening institutional delivery systems and their effectiveness

  • We support skill development institutions, sector councils, and implementation bodies to improve pedagogy, curriculum, technology integration, and employer engagement. This includes building capacity, designing scalable delivery models, and fostering public-private partnerships.
  • We have strengthened 10+ institutions to drive inclusive skilling outcomes at scale.

Driving systems change through policy innovation and ecosystem development

  • We advise national and sub-national governments on skilling and employment reforms. Our support spans flagship program design, gender-inclusive skilling, just and green transitions, and digital public infrastructure.
  • We have supported governments in India, Indonesia, and beyond to catalyze equitable skilling ecosystems.
