Jackson is an Associate at MSC Anglophone Africa. He works in Nairobi, Kenya. He has more than four years of experience in digital financial services (DFS), which he gained through his work with commercial banks, FinTech, and a government agency in Kenya. His areas of expertise include product strategy development, use-case development, business development, customer relationship management, project management, data collection, and analysis.
A few examples of his recent work are as follows:
- Roll-out of Wasoko’s Value-Added Services (VAS) (Cash-In-Cash-Out (CICO) and Order-Now-Pay-Later (ONPL)): Supported on developing primary research tools, conducting primary research, and analysis of the research findings. The project aims to evaluate the potential of expanding Wasoko’s VAS for its merchants through e-commerce.
- AGRA Youth Agrientrepreneurship and Employment Ecosystem Development Project: Supported conducting country ecosystem assessments and developing an action agenda for youth employment in Africa’s food systems to develop a strategic investment plan and create a business case for youth employment in the food system value chains. - Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI) and Bank of Tanzania financial inclusion for climate-induced IDPs: Supported the development of a strategy to bridge the financial inclusion gap for climate-induced IDPs in Tanzania, fostering their economic empowerment and resilience. (2024)
- Supported research and developed strategies for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) Nigeria Women Scale-Up Project, which aims to enhance women’s inclusion by digitizing Women’s Affinity Groups (WAGs) and connecting them with financial service providers across sectors such as agriculture, rural development, health, and employment. - Managed cash-in and cash-out (CICO) agents and merchant networks at Family Bank. (2022-2023)
- Supervised and planned the call center management at O-Stream CreditHela in debt collection and virtual client verification. (2021)
Before he joined MSC, Jackson was a Digital Channels Officer at Family Bank, where he undertook roles in customer relationship management, marketing, and business development. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from South Eastern Kenya University and is fluent in English and Swahili
