Njeri is a Manager at MSC (MicroSave Consulting) Anglophone Africa, based in Nairobi, Kenya. She is a seasoned Strategic Growth Leader with over 10 years of experience in Inclusive Finance, Digital Transformation, Strategy Development, and Project Management across diverse sectors, including commercial banking, Mobile Network Operators, FinTechs, Payment Service Providers, and Fast-Moving Consumer Goods. Her expertise spans proposal development, client relationship management, competitive analysis, full product lifecycle management, and stakeholder engagement. She has successfully led financial inclusion initiatives and digital transformation projects across East and West Africa, with a strong focus on underserved communities and MSMEs.
A few examples of her recent work are as follows:
- Partnered with Nigeria Governors’ Forum under its Digital Domestic Resource Mobilization (DDRM) workstream to provide research, advisory, advocacy, and technical assistance on the usage of DPI to enhance revenue collection and service delivery across Nigeria’s 36 States. Funded by BMGF. (2025).
- Supported the Inclusive Finance and Risk (IFR) Body of Work (BoW) to analyze prior investments and identify strategic priorities for a redesigned five-year strategy. Funded by BMGF. (2024)
- Contributed to the rollout and scale-up of Value-Added Services (VAS) such as Cash-In-Cash-Out (CICO) and Order-Now-Pay-Later (ONPL) for Wasoko merchants in Tanzania, enhancing financial inclusion and addressing gender disparities. Funded by BMGF. (2024)
- Played a key role in the AGRA Youth Agripreneurship and Employment project in Rwanda, conducting ecosystem assessments, developing investment plans, and building a compelling business case to increase youth employment in agriculture. Funded by AGRA. (2024)
- Designed and deployed the MSE Digital Lending platform at I&M Bank, enabling access to unsecured credit and stock finance products for MSMEs. (2022)
- Onboarded Kenya Airways into Cellulant’s Payment Gateway, enabling seamless digital ticket payments. (2017)
- Designed the commercial model and go-to-market strategy for Cellulant’s Hackathon, featuring the most innovative and viable avatar. (2015)
Before joining MSC, Njeri held multiple roles at I&M Bank Limited, including Relationship Manager – MSME and Sales Force Effectiveness Coordinator, where she led strategy execution, portfolio growth, and operational improvements. She also held leadership roles at Cellulant Group and Huawei Technologies, driving merchant engagement, product innovation, and digital operations.
Njeri holds a Master’s degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from the University of Nairobi and is fluent in English and Swahili.
