Md. Farista Andalib is a Manager in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance team of MSC (MicroSave Consulting) in Bangladesh. He has more than nine years of experience in digital transformation, digital payments, MSME development, market research, and microfinance. He specializes in end-to-end digitization of payment systems using mobile financial services (MFS) and digital wallets to improve operational efficiency, enhance customer experience, and advance financial inclusion at scale. Farista has deep expertise in product and channel innovation, real-time payment system design, and the digitization of high-volume transactions across microfinance, agriculture, and MSME ecosystems.

His work seeks to transform cash-based processes into secure, interoperable, and traceable digital payment flows, including B2P, B2B, and P2P use cases. He has designed and implemented real-time digital instalment payments, digital cash transfers, digital loan disbursement and collection systems, and reconciliation frameworks using MFS platforms. Through the design and implementation phases, he has maintained active communication and coordination with financial ecosystem stakeholders, including regulators, financial service providers, FinTech companies, and digital platforms.   At MSC, Farista has led initiatives aligned with the Bangladesh Bank’s Cashless Bangladesh vision. He has supported the program through demand- and supply-side research, digital ecosystem diagnostics, stakeholder engagement with regulators and financial service providers, and the development of actionable national roadmaps to strengthen digital transactions. During his tenure at BRAC, Farista led the rollout of BRAC’s first real-time, online-verified MFS-based instalment payment system and supported the creation of a nationwide instant digital credit platform for bKash app users, while ensuring regulatory compliance, client protection, and backend integration with core banking systems.  Farista holds BBA and MBA degrees in Management Studies from the University of Rajshahi and is fluent in Bangla and English.
