Farid Wangara is a Principal Officer and Head, Insurance business- Partnerships at ACRE Africa.

Farid is an experienced financial, insurance and partnerships expert, having worked with various financial institutions and insurance organizations over ten years. He is passionate about bringing various stakeholders together within the value chains and farmer groups’ mobilization towards moving smallholder farmers from normal agriculture to agri-business. He has over ten years’ experience working with various stakeholders within the financial and insurance industry. He has worked with various financial and MFI institutions in the financing of smallholder farmers for agriculture. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of South Africa. He is involved in business and product development and is in direct linkage to various players in the agriculture value chain.
