Nick Hughes is the founder of M-PESA and the co-founder of M-KOPA.

Nick Hughes led the team to take M-PESA from concept to scale, a mobile money project that has revolutionized the life of millions of Africans since it launched in 2007. In 2012, Nick also co-founded M-KOPA, a consumer finance company that has connected over 750,000 homes and businesses to affordable solar power in Africa. He holds a small number of advisory roles, which includes being on the CGAP Executive Committee.
