In the role of Assistant Manager, the team member will be responsible for providing support to the Strategic Initiatives/Business Development team. The key responsibilities include:

  • Support in identifying bid opportunities by scouting various donors/client websites.
  • Assist in the proposal development process in coordination with technical teams.
  • Manage documentation and upkeep of databases using MS-Excel and MS-Word.
  • Synthesize and analyse data from databases to draw insights.
  • Prepare presentations to disseminate the synthesised insights.
  • Conduct donor, competitor, and partner analysis.
  • Add value to the proposal review and writing process.
  • Initiate new areas of business or partnership development independently, collaborating with technical teams.
  • Work with emerging area leaders to establish their thematic focus area as a vertical business line within MSC.
  • Conducting scanning and scouting activities for new business opportunities and tenders on various clients' and donors' websites.
  • Understanding and interpreting RFPs, Terms of Reference (ToRs), Expression of Interest (EOIs), and collaborating with technical teams for end-to-end EOI and Proposal development.
  • Evaluating MSCs past work/projects to determine relevance to RFPs/EOIs.
  • Proactively scouting donors, strategic partners, and consultants, and documenting relationships for nurturing and future collaboration.
  • Creating compelling capability statements and pitch decks to support business development efforts.
  • Analysing data related to proposal submissions, win rates, and opportunities, presenting the analysis to senior management.
  • Maintaining and updating databases owned by SI using MS-Word and MS-Excel, coordinating with Technical Teams for updates.
  • Assisting in the preparation of reports (MS-Excel, PPT, or Word), donor scoping, competitor analysis, quarterly proposal reporting, collaterals, and other documents.
  • Coordinating and communicating (verbal/written) with External
  • Consultants/associates for existing or prospective opportunities as needed.
  • Establishing and enhancing MSCs brand presence in emerging areas by liaising with internal points of contact, organizing, and providing support during meetings.
  • Coordinating with internal teams such as Administration, Knowledge Management, and Finance/Legal based on work requirements.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.






Requirements

  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in MS-Word and MS-PowerPoint.
  • Possesses advanced skills in MS-Excel.
  • Desirable knowledge includes familiarity with the financial services sector, financial inclusion in developing countries, the role of digital technology in financial inclusion, and awareness of sector developments and major donors.
  • Advantageous experience in high-level or C-level executive search, facilitating partnerships, and business development.
  • Willingness to work in a demanding and results-oriented team environment.
  • Adaptable to frequent changes in priorities.
  • Flexibility to work in a deadline-bound environment.
  • Willing to work beyond regular working hours as needed.
