Senior Manager
Kim Kariuki is a Senior Manager at MSC Anglophone Africa, based in Nairobi, Kenya. He has 15+ years of experience in project management, behavioral research, data analysis, and microfinance. He has worked with commercial banks, international funding agencies, and MFIs in Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Mozambique, and Zambia, where he focused on product design, concept testing, and pilot testing. He is also a certified Prince II Practitioner.
In recent years, Kim has worked to understand the barriers and drivers for MSMEs when they access financial services, increase access to credit for female entrepreneurs, and enhance financial inclusion for female traders in cross-border and open-air markets. He has assessed COVID-19’s impact on the financial sector and market-based interventions that target this sector. Before joining MSC, Kim was the Director of Integrated Projects at Dalberg Research, where he led business development and partnership management. Kim holds a Master’s in Agriculture and Rural Development from Kenya Methodist University and is fluent in English and Kiswahili.
