Alvina Zafar
Senior ManagerAlvina Zafar is a Senior Manager at MicroSave Consulting (MSC) with over 12 years of cross-country experience in microfinance, SME finance, inclusive product innovation, insurance, and digital financial services. She has led large-scale programs across Bangladesh and Rwanda, with contributions to regional dialogues and training across Asia and Africa. Her work focuses on underserved communities, with a strong emphasis on gender inclusion, youth engagement, financial inclusion, and digital transformation. She has worked extensively with institutions such as the Gates Foundation, Bangladesh Bank, BRAC, WEConnect International, and bilateral donors, delivering end-to-end assignments that include strategy and product development, digital service design, institutional capacity building, and client protection systems. She currently leads the Scaling Female Agent Networks (SFAN) project in Bangladesh and has managed initiatives such as the Cashless Bangladesh roadmap, the Green Economy Project for women entrepreneurs, and a USD 3.5 million microfinance portfolio with BRAC Rwanda. She has also contributed to the rollout of innovative insurance products and inclusive insurance strategies in Bangladesh.
